Professor Andrew Horne (PhD FRCOG) holds a Personal Chair in Gynaecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, and is Chair of the Academic Board at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He established the EXPPECT Centre for Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis in Edinburgh.

Professor Horne is an experienced researcher in women’s health problems, with a focus on endometriosis and pelvic pain, and has published over 110 peer-reviewed scientific papers. He is UK Representative for ESHRE, Past Chair of the ESHRE Special Interest Group for Endometriosis, WES Ambassador, and Medical Advisor for Endometriosis UK and the Pelvic Pain Support Network.

He is also a member of the NICE and ESHRE Endometriosis Guideline Committees, and the Deputy Editor-in-chief of Human Reproduction Open. He has co-authored a book on endometriosis for patients called “The Experts’ Guide to Treat, Manage and Live Well with Your Symptoms”.
